A Warm Welcome to
St James CE Primary School

At St James, our Christian vision of ‘Life in All Its Fullness’ is at the heart of everything we do. As a caring Christian community where every child matters, we are committed to helping all children flourish through our school vision of Teach, Nurture, Celebrate.

We Teach through a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires curiosity, develops knowledge and skills, and enables every child to succeed and achieve their full potential.

We Nurture by supporting children to be the very best they can be, fostering hope, love and respect both in themselves and in others, so they grow into confident, caring and resilient individuals.

We Celebrate the achievements, talents and successes of all our children, both inside and outside the classroom, recognising the unique gifts that each child brings to our school community.

School Updates

Newsletters

We would be delighted to welcome prospective parents and children to St. James’ CE Primary School as you begin considering schools for your child’s Reception year. Our Open Days on Wednesday 14th October and Thursday 15th October provide a wonderful opportunity to visit our school, meet our staff and pupils, explore our Reception classroom, and discover what makes St. James such a special place to learn, grow and thrive. We look forward to sharing our nurturing environment, strong values and exciting curriculum with you and your family.

Ofsted and DFE

Please click here to read our most recent Ofsted Report and learn more about the new Ofsted inspection framework. This information provides an overview of how schools are evaluated and highlights the strengths and achievements identified during our latest inspection. We are proud of the positive feedback received and the high-quality education and care we provide for our pupils.

Wanted - Reading Volunteers

Could you spare a little time to help inspire a love of reading?

At St James, we are always looking for volunteers to listen to children read and share the joy of books. Just a small amount of your time can make a huge difference to a child’s confidence, fluency and enthusiasm for reading.

If you enjoy working with children and would like to support our school community, we would love to hear from you. Whether you can help weekly, fortnightly or occasionally, your time and encouragement will have a lasting impact.

Please contact the school office for more information about becoming a volunteer reader. Together, we can help every child flourish.
